You are invited to attend the seventh annual Financial Literacy and Education Summit in person in Chicago.

The program, co-hosted by Visa Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will be held on Wednesday, April 17. The event, which will be webcast live from the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, is themed Improving Women’s Financial Literacy & Capabilities Globally. The program will bring together international financial literacy experts who will address potential solutions to improving women’s financial literacy and capabilities globally.

The Summit panelists will focus on how global government and financial education leaders, in collaboration with providers, can develop resolutions to positively impact global financial literacy efforts for women. Featured panelists at the event include Linah Mohohlo, Governor of the Bank of Botswana, Riad T. Salamé, Governor of the Banque du Liban, Lebanon’s Central Bank, and Jorgovanka Tabaković, Governor of the National Bank of Serbia.

FBLA-PBL is looking for a PBL member and an FBLA member to sing the national anthem at his/her respective NLC. The deadline for receiving auditions is Friday, May 6. Please include your name, school, e-mail address, phone number, and which NLC you will be attending. Team Cybis will review all CDs and MP3s, and the person chosen will receive notification from Cybis Communications Corporation. Audition CDs will not be returned. Online registration is NOW OPEN for the 2010 National Leadership Conference (NLC)! If you are looking for Simply the Best this summer, plan to attend the National Leadership Conference (NLC) and Institute for Leaders (IFL) in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Resort & Convention Center. FBLA-PBL National Leadership Conference Silent Auction

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. FBLA-PBL is committed to bringing business and education together in positive working relationships which further the development of our most precious resource; our youth—and we need your help!

Each year, the best and brightest of FBLA and PBL convene to compete in business and leadership events, share their successes, and gain new ideas about shaping their future careers at our National Leadership Conference. This year’s conference is in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. FBLA-PBL will be hosting a Silent Auction to benefit member and adviser recognition programs and is soliciting contributions.

Each item will display the name of the donation, description, and value.

INSTITUTE FOR LEADERS
Make the most of your trip to the NLC and also register for the Institute for Leaders. It’s the best way to kick your leadership skills up a notch and prepare for the coming year. It held the day prior and until Noon during the first day of the NLC.

PBL IFL is July 8-9, FBLA IFL is July 13-14.

Early bird registration is May 28 (Registration fee $115 for students, $100 for candidates, and $50 for advisers).
